Re-mortgaging is the process of paying off your current mortgage and moving to another lender. The procedure is similar to that of a purchase, as the new lender will want to know that the security they are lending on is good.
What we do in the re-mortgaging process:

Obtain the title deeds and a redemption figure from your current lender;

Investigate the title to the property. We may need to apply for searches, in accordance with the requirements of your lender;

Consider the mortgage instructions and ensure any conditions are complied with;

Agree a completion date;

Upon completion, your old mortgage will be redeemed, and the new mortgage will take effect. Any surplus proceeds will then be transferred to you;

Deal with the registration at the Land Registry and forward any relevant documents to your lender.
